So many children are dealing, or have dealt, with some form of childhood cancer. Many more than we probably can fathom. Please remember that the entire family is dealing with this illness as well.

We have seen too many friends and acquaintances that are struggling through this horrific disease. As a community, we need to wrap these families in prayer. Help guide them the best we know how. Form a prayer group, offer a meal train, offer services, such as cleaning the house, helping care for other children in the home, taking pets for a walk, there are so many ways we can help out.  Find something that works for your family and theirs.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Childhood Cancer is the leading cause of death in children up to 14 years old. 43 children are diagnosed in the US every day. That is far too many!

Our family has always given back through St. Jude's Children's Hospital,  https://www.stjude.org/get-involved/other-ways/childhood-cancer-awareness-month I encourage you to go to their website and find ways you can help out a family.  Take a moment to read some of the stories. Hopefully, they will give you a little glimpse into their realities, and know that if you are having a tough day, someone else may have it tougher.
